Keeping You in the Loop
Keeping you in the loop at Orange Grove www.orangegroveffo.com
Big thanks!
The Holiday SAC Project was a huge success! OGMS students collected and sorted over
2,100 items for The Community Food
Bank. Thank you to all who participated by donating, sorting, or allowing your
child to stay after school to help.
Special thanks to Amy Bhola, Amy Hernandez, Nancy Loose for organizing
the project. It was another
fantastic service project and expression of Panther Pride! Stay tuned for next
Student Action Committee (SAC) project coming soon.
Attention 8th
Grade Parents
It is time to start thinking about your son or daughter moving on to high school
next year? CFHS is hosting an Open
House: January 25, 5:30 p.m. Course & Club Fair (Cafeteria), 6:30 p.m.
School Presentation (Auditorium). This event is intended for parents and
students. In addition, to help ease your mind about the transition from OGMS to
high school, Susan Rosenthal is hosting an 8th grade parent coffee
on Thursday, January 26th from 7:45 – 8:30 a.m. in the library. You should be receiving an invitation
in the mail, but put this date on your calendar and stay for the FFO meeting
afterward if your schedule allows.
Dine-Out at Sauce!
Our next dine-out is next Tuesday, January 17th
at Sauce on Oracle and Ina. Sauce
has been generous enough to donate 15% of purchases made ALL DAY—just mention
you are there to support Orange Grove Middle School, no flyer needed. Sauce is open from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00
p.m. for dine-in or take-out.
Color Run!
Orange Grove is hosting a Color-A-Thon 2-mile fun run/walk
on Feb 3rd, 2017 3:30-5:30 p.m.! This will be a fantastic fun-raising
and fundraising event for our school in which your whole family can
participate! Entrance fees are $30,
and for parties of 2 or more $25 each (there are other fun items to purchase). Register
before Jan 20th to ensure you receive
a Color Run t-shirt and a color pack with your ticket price. The day of the event we’ll have a Color
Blast Party with a DJ and food truck to add to the fun. Register now!! https://orangegroveffo.com/color-run/
Volunteers needed
for lunch duty
It is a new semester and we are in need of volunteers for
lunch duty. This is a simple but
important job; there are so many students on campus that the staff needs a
helping hand to keep everything in order during the lunch periods. All that is required is that you ask
students to be respectful, throw their trash away, push in their chairs and
wait in line without cutting. This is an excellent way to help our teachers and
staff get a lunch break or help in other areas of the campus. If you can help,
sign up at the following link: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c48aba729a31-ogms3
Thanks!
