Color Run
Don’t miss our 2nd annual Color Fun Run!  The 2.0 mile fun run/walk happens today, Friday Feb. 3rd at OGMS on the softball field (3:30 check-in, 4:15 run).  There will be blasts of color, a D.J. with great music, a food truck and a ton of fun for the whole family!  Students should be accompanied by an adult and there is no after school supervision available. Sunglasses are encouraged as eye protection, wear some from home or we have some for $4 (preorder at link, or leftovers will be available for purchase at run). Thank you to all who have registered so far. It’s not too late!  To register for the run, go to the following website (late registration will not receive a shirt): https://orangegroveffo.com/color-run/

8th Grade Promotion
Planning for 8th Grade Promotion is already underway, and 8th grade parents are invited to attend an informational meeting about promotion on Thursday, February 16th at 7:45 a.m. in the library.  Susan Rosenthal will talk about the promotion celebrations, tickets, dress code, and address any questions you might have.  The FFO has a wonderful promotion planned for your student and is suggesting a $10 donation from each 8th grader. These donations will cover the ceremony, cookie reception, 8th grade dance, and lunch on the last day of school. You can make your donation from your intouch account or in the front office.

Volunteer Opportunities
-8th Grade Promotion activities include the actual ceremony, a cookie reception, a student dance, and a luncheon on the last day of school.  We need help to put these activities together, so if you are interested in finding out how you can be involved, please email me at jandgrobinson@msn.com Thanks!
-We can always use help during lunch!  If you can lend a hand during one or both lunch periods on any given day, or on a regular basis, please go to the following website to sign up: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c48aba729a31-ogms3
-If you’ve ever considered an executive board or committee chairperson position and want to know what’s involved, please send me an email at jandgrobinson@msn.com  I’d love to hear from you!
-Maybe you cannot give your time but would still like to help. We are always in need of supplies at school. Current top needs are kleenex, colored paper, and nut free snacks for the nurse’s office.

Shop and Earn Cash for OGMS
Do you shop at AJ’s, Bashas’ or Food City?  If so, you should consider buying a Bashas’ Community Rewards Card.  The cards act as reloadable gift cards that you can use to purchase groceries at any of the Bashas’, AJ’s, or Food City stores.  You can purchase a $10 Bashas’ card (pre-loaded with $10) in the front office.  OGMS receives 6% back on every card purchase and then each time you reload your card.
